Summer Housing 2019

SUMMER HOUSING FOR CURRENT STUDENTS

Current students must complete the Summer 2019 Housing Application on the Housing Portal by Wednesday, May 1, 2019. 

All current students planning to stay on campus for the summer will be staying in Charles Landing.

Students will be able to move into their apartment between Saturday, May 25 and Tuesday, June 4, 2019 depending on availability. On-campus housing in current spaces will be extend to accommodate the move.

Again in August, students staying on-campus for the Fall will transition to their Fall room between Saturday, August 3 and Saturday, August 11, 2019. Students staying off-campus in the Fall must move out by Saturday, August 11, 2019.

SUMMER EXPERIMENTAL AND FOUNDATION STUDIES (SEFS), MASTER OF ARCHITECTURE (MArch) & MASTER OF DESIGN (MDes) IN INTERIOR STUDIES

Incoming undergraduate students who are starting their Summer Experimental and Foundations Studies and graduate students who are starting their Master of Architecture (MArch) or Master of Design (MDes) in Interior Studies must complete the Summer 2019 Housing Application on the Housing Portal by Sunday, June 3, 2019.

Students in either of these programs will be in housing from Thursday, June 13 – Saturday, July 27, 2019 and will be housed in 15 West.

*If you are an incoming graduate student who is looking to reside on campus for both the summer and the 2019-2020 Academic Year, we have limited options to accommodate your request. Please contact Residence Life directly by emailing us at housing@risd.edu to inquire about your options.
**Note: Housing is extremely limited for academic year housing, and is not guaranteed.**

MASTER OF ART AND TEACHING (MAT) & MASTER OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE (MLA)

Incoming graduate students who are starting their Master of Art and Teaching (MAT) or Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs must complete the Summer 2019 Housing Application for their program on the Housing Portal by Sunday, June 3, 2019.

**SUMMER AND ACADEMIC YEAR HOUSING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS AND IS NOT GUARANTEED.**

Students in the MAT program will be in housing from Saturday, July 6, 2019 – Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Students in the MLA program will be in housing from Sunday, July 28, 2019 – Friday, August 30, 2019.

Due to time constraints with room turn around, students in either of these programs who are approved to reside on campus for the summer, must also reside on campus for the 2019-2020 Academic Year. Again, please note that housing for graduate students is NOT guaranteed.

OVERNIGHT PARKING

Long-term parking spaces at Charles Landing may be rented for $10 per day, $60 per week, or $150 for a six-week summer program.
