Summer Housing 2020

Summer Housing Update:  RISD is expanding summer housing opportunities for students living in the Providence area, many of whom may be in expiring leases or who cannot travel home due to travel restrictions or the risk of being unable to return.  With increased summer housing demand Residence Life will be offering housing in both Charles Landing, and in 15 West.  Students who are currently living in 15 West may request to stay in their current assignment for the summer.

Dining Plans: All students who live in 15 West will have two meals per day included at the Portfolio Café.  Retail items will be available for purchase via risdbucks.  To make staying on campus more affordable, the new combined price reflects significant reductions in both housing and dining rates.

Students who choose to be assigned to Charles Landing will receive one meal per day, Monday through Friday.  Additional meal blocks may be purchased for students who desire. Note that on-campus social distancing measures are expected to remain in place throughout the summer including meals to go and limited access to social spaces and workrooms.

Students who have not yet done so need to complete the Summer 2020 Housing Application on the Housing Portal before Friday, May 22, 2020 to be guaranteed space.

All students in summer housing will have a dining plan. Updated student room and board rates for Summer 2020*
